keys all done! horns and vocals halfway done!
its crazy to think that this album is almost over being recorded… i never feel ready, i wish i could work on every album for months and months, and maybe someday we will be able to spend that much time. but there is something really rock and roll about the way we recorded this album, and i think it shows through in the music. there are a lot more complexities to these songs and the words and rythyms and everything, but the way its laid down is classic rock and roll to me… barely any punch ins or auto tune, we kept every take that felt right, even if it has little imperfections in it. i want people to feel this record so hard. i want people to be reminded of when life was simpler and music was pure.
we spent so much time writing these songs, i think the people who have hungry ears will hear this album and be full of joy! (and RAGE!)
